OA Brotherhood membership

Do you want to attain your Brotherhood membership in the Order of the Arrow?

If you have been an Ordeal member for at least 10 months and are current with your Lodge dues, you are eligible for Brotherhood membership.

First, download this PDF:

http://tonkawa99.org/index.php?option=com_joomdoc&task=doc_download&gid=13&Itemid=179

If that link does not work, browse on over to tonkawa99.org and use the menu Membership/Brotherhood/Study Guide to find the PDF.

I also have an audio version of the Study Guide if you are the kind of person that studies better by listening.  It works well if you are sitting in traffic.  Email me for MP3s at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

After familiarzing yourself with the Study Guide, you need to be questioned.  The easiest way to be questioned is at one of the following events:

  • Chapter Meeting (7:00 on 1st Thursday of every month)
  • District Adventure Weekend
  • Spring or Fall Assembly

After you have passed your questioning, you should get a "blue card" that needs to be signed by a Chapter Officer and the Chapter Advisor.

Bring that blue card to an event that will hold a Brotherhood ceremony.  This year the Chapter will have a Brotherhood ceremony Saturday night at DAW.  Or, you can attend a ceremony at one of the Assemblies at Lost Pines.

If you plan on attending your Brotherhood ceremony at DAW this year, please bring a $16 check made out to "Tonkawa 99".
