BSA Summer Camp 2024

Welcome to Lost Pines Scout Reservation, or LPSR! LPSR covers nearly 542 acres on the northern shores of Lake Bastrop and is the home of the tallest climbing tower in Texas, excellent catfish and largemouth bass fishing, and the best Summer Camp experience you’ll find anywhere!

We are dedicated to offering a robust summer camp program that supplements the year-long programs of every Scouts BSA troop. We look forward to providing every participant with a mountaintop experience right here in the Lost Pines Forest of central Texas.

Cub Scout Days of Discovery Day Camp

Take a step back in time and learn about Texas’ past at Days of Discovery Summer Day Camp.

This camp is a week long drop off day camp covering topics like Texas History, old time crafts, pioneer games, early ranch/farm science and gardening.   Learn to shoot a bow and arrow, meet a horse, feed chickens, learn how people lived before modern convenience, start a garden, dig at a real archeology site, make candles, send a message using telegraph, and make a tool using metal!

National Youth Leadership Training

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a six day, five night course that gives Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, Explorers and Venturers methods, skills and experiences to become better leaders in their unit. The course centers around the concepts of what a leader must be, what they must know, and what they must do – with a clear focus on how to accomplish all this.

TechLab for Grades 3 to 9
