Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge will also be taught at 7 PM alongside Roundtable.
Troop leaders, please spread the word to your Scouts!
Let’s finish the year informed, connected, and ready for 2027!
MEMBERSHIP: EVERY SCOUT MATTERS!
Scouting is about more than numbers. It’s about giving young people opportunities to discover adventure, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and find a community where they belong.
Our goal is to make Scouting accessible to EVERY young person who wants to experience it!
As we approach December 31, I’m challenging every unit to:
- Follow up with families who expressed interest this fall.
- Invite friends, classmates, neighbors, and younger siblings.
- Make new families feel welcomed and supported.
- Find opportunities to recruit just a few more Scouts!
A few more Scouts in every unit can make a HUGE difference across Thunderbird!
MEMBERSHIP INCENTIVE — EARN SCOUT SHOP CREDIT!
RECRUIT SCOUTS. GROW YOUR UNIT. EARN REWARDS!
From October 1 through November 30, units earn:
$15 FOR EVERY QUALIFYING NEW YOUTH!
Open to Packs, Troops, Crews, Ships, and Posts!
GOOD NEWS! Qualifying registrations dating back to October 1 COUNT TOO! If you’ve already recruited new Scouts this month, you’re earning credit!

LET’S GET THOSE NEW SCOUTS REGISTERED!
RENEWALS: LET’S KEEP OUR SCOUTS SCOUTING!
November and December renewals are quickly approaching, and NOW is the time to start reaching out!
We’ve worked too hard building our units to lose families because they missed a reminder or needed a little help.
UNIT LEADERS & COMMITTEE CHAIRS — HERE’S YOUR CHALLENGE!
Review your November and December renewals.
Personally contact families approaching expiration.
Ask whether they need assistance renewing.
Let me know your plan and where I can help!
I want to hear from EVERY unit!
Where are you with renewals? What’s your plan to get families renewed? How can I support you?
A simple phone call or friendly reminder can make all the difference!
LET’S KEEP OUR SCOUTS SCOUTING INTO 2027!
NOVEMBER 14 — SPEEDFEST AT COTA!
START YOUR ENGINES, THUNDERBIRD!
Saturday, November 14
Circuit of the Americas
SpeedFest is right around the corner, and I want Thunderbird showing up BIG!
BRING A BUDDY — BOTH GET A PATCH!
Invite a youth who isn’t currently registered in Scouting to SpeedFest, and BOTH the Scout and their buddy receive a limited-edition race car patch!
ONE SCOUT + ONE NEW BUDDY = TWO AWESOME PATCHES!
Even better, if that buddy registers by November 30, the unit they join can earn the $15 new-youth incentive if the registration qualifies!
LET’S PACK COTA WITH THUNDERBIRD SCOUTS AND FUTURE SCOUTS!
OUR CHALLENGE FOR THE REST OF 2026:
RECRUIT MORE!
RENEW MORE!
RETAIN MORE!
Thank you for everything you do for our Scouts, families, and community. Your dedication makes all the difference!
LET’S FINISH STRONG, THUNDERBIRD!
Yours in Scouting,
