About Troop 20: The Troop is a boy-led Troop which camps monthly, attends summer and winter camps, and focuses on Scout rank advancement. Scouts ages 13+ in the Troop have the opportunity to attend high adventure experiences annually each summer: Philmont, Summit, Northern Tier, and Sea Base. Boy leaders plan and execute their own program with parent participation and support. New Scouts begin with small jobs under the guidance of more experienced Scouts. As their skills and knowledge improve, new responsibilities are given to them. We meet weekly at 7:15 pm on Thursdays and Bethany Lutheran Church. About Troop 19: Troop 19 has been created for girls ages 11 to 18 in Southwest Austin who want to enjoy the challenges and adventures of the Scouts BSA program. Troop 19 strives to be the model troop envisioned by Lord Baden-Powel in 1908 – except this time it’s for girls! A mode l troop emphasizes fun, camping and outdoor skills, teamwork, adventure, leadership, personal growth, self-reliance and self-confidence, and service to others.
