Our Next Webelos AOL event is next Saturday! Join us. |
The Scouts of Troop 505 have a great morning
planned for your scouts.
Our 1/2 Day Adventure is an opportunity for Webelos and AOL scouts to learn scouting skills and get to know Troop 505. Once you know us, we know you will want to join us.
Even if you have already had the opportunity to attend one of our other events, come to this one as well – we are always doing something new. |
Scouts will learn about ax yard safety from a 505 scout. He will teach them about the ax yard and demonstrates how to prepare wood for a camp fire.
We will follow all BSA safety requirements. Webelos & AOLs will not be using an ax. |
Scouts will then learn about fire safety, earn their Firem’n Chit and learn how to build a camp fire.
There will be a fire building competition for them to be able to practice and show what they have learned. |
Scouts will make their own Woofum Stick and then make their own woofum.
505 Scouts prefer woofums to s’more and want to introduce your scout to this troop favorite.

Haven’t heard of woofums before? Cooked like a s’more, but way better.
A “woofum” (also sometimes called a “wolfem”) is a campfire treat made by cooking a biscuit dough cup over a fire, then filling it with your favorite sweet or savory toppings like whipped cream, pudding, pulled pork, or cheese, essentially a baked biscuit cup that you “wolf down” because it’s so delicious; the key element is the special “woofum stick” used to cook the biscuit dough into a cup shape over the fire.
Please let us know if you will be able to join us.
