Join Us for Seed Collection Season in Central Texas!
August marks the start of the seed collection season in Central Texas, a key time for TreeFolks’ Seeds to Trees Native Nursery, in partnership with the Central Texas Seed Savers. During this season, we gather seeds from native trees to grow strong and healthy trees that our community needs for the future. Collecting seeds now ensures that our neighborhoods will have plenty of trees to provide shade, beauty, and clean air for many years to come.
Last year, TreeFolks launched our own Native Tree Nursery to expand the variety of trees we plant. We’ll need millions of seeds to grow these trees—and that’s where you come in! Fall is the perfect time to start collecting. Follow the link below to learn how to collect and donate seeds, find out which species we need, and volunteer at our nursery workdays.
