Friday or join us Sat. morning.\n*New Location*: Emma Long Municipal Park | 1600 City Park Rd\, Austin\, TX 78730 \nThe Scouts of Boy’s Troop 505 have been eagerly awaiting the return of this adventure that they first tried last year. This epic game of Capture the Flag will challenge all their skills\, and they are thrilled to extend an invitation to Webelos and AOL Scouts to join them. Your scouts will have the opportunity to camp and cook alongside one of our patrols\, fully immersing themselves in the games and the troop experience. They will build their scouting skills\, all while having a great time and getting to know  Troop 505. \nThere’s no better way to truly understand a troop than by camping with them. Our Epic Capture the Flag Weekend serves as a brilliant opportunity for Webelos & AOL Scouts to get a feel for Scouts BSA and Troop 505. This weekend campout introduces Webelos and their parents to camping using the patrol method. It’s not just a weekend; it’s an experience\, a learning opportunity\, and above all\, a whole lot of fun! \nParents will join the adult patrol for the weekend (We eat well). \nPlease register so we know how many to plan for food. \nScouts are always welcome to visit our troop on our regular meeting nights on Mondays from 7- 8:30 pm at Oak Hill United Methodist Church (OHUMC) 7815 US-290\, Austin\, TX 78736 No Troop meeting the Monday after campouts (generally the 3rd Monday). DESCRIPTION:Troop 505 invites Webelos and AOL to join them at the swimming pool. The Aquanaut and Swimming Adventures are fun\, electives for every scout that loves the water. Scouts will take the BSA Swim Test and complete all requirements for these elective adventures. You don’t have to be an expert swimmer to earn this adventure. \nScouts are always welcome to visit our troop on our regular meeting nights on Mondays from 7- 8:30 pm at Oak Hill United Methodist Church (OHUMC) 7815 US-290\, Austin\, TX 78736 No Troop meeting the Monday after campouts (generally the 3rd Monday). SUMMARY:Merit Badge Fair in Round Rock
DESCRIPTION:TThis he Merit Badge Fair is an annual event hosted by the Chisholm Trail District of Capitol Area Council that gives Scouts the opportunity to earn merit badges ranging from elective activities like Music to most of the Eagle-required merit badges. \nHeld this year on Saturday\, August 10th at the Austin Community College – Round Rock Campus this fair aims to create an environment where Scouts have an opportunity to continue their advancement program and earn valuable merit badges in an engaging way. It gives youth the opportunity to take two three-hour classes or a six-hour merit badge block. Returning for this year is Robotics\, which is a single all-day class. \nThis event historically draws close to 400 youth from Chisholm Trail and the surrounding Districts and other Councils. This event is open to everyone. Utilizing 18 classrooms and various other open or public spaces to create a great environment for learning there will also be the opportunity to attend an Adult Leader info session. The day is divided into two\, three-hour classes or periods\, with a built-in bring your own lunchtime in the middle of the day. \nCheck-in begins at 7am – Classes start at 9am. Check-in was a bottleneck last year so we encourage you to bring breakfast and arrive early!
