DESCRIPTION:We call upon the Scouts of the Thunderbird District to assemble\, April 17 to 19\, at The Wessendorff Ranch to celebrate with us the BSA Olympic Games. \nAfter several discussions with leaders from the district\, units\, and council and careful review of the weather forecast for this weekend\, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule this weekend’s District Camporee.\nThis decision was not made lightly. The safety of our Scouts\, families\, and leaders must always come first. With storms and lightning expected\, along with a forecast showing severe weather for more than 75% of the weekend and NO permanent shelter at Wessendorf\, we feel that exercising extreme caution is the right choice. Additionally\, because our Camporee is heavily activity-focused rather than a standard campout\, we want Scouts to be able to experience the event fully and safely.\nWe are not canceling Camporee for the year—we are simply moving it to a new date and location.\n New Dates: September 25–27\n Location: Lost Pines
