We had a great Roundtable meeting last night. It was one of those nights where we tackled a tough topic, and had some really constructive ideas come from the resulting discussion. This one was about New Parent Orientation for both Cubs and Scouts, as well as getting parents to participate in the Scouting program. All of the presentations and handouts can be found below. I also included a couple of pictures from the meeting, including the Wood Badge beading ceremony that took place. See you next month!

We had a truly unique meeting at the monthly Thunderbird Roundtable this month. I presented an update to online training, and Mike made sure everyone was up-to-speed on the cancellation of the BSA Tour Permit process.
We kicked-off our “Duty To God” series by inviting clergy from a variety of faiths in the community, to come and talk about their beliefs and the connection to Scouting. Tonight we heard about the Sikh faith from Christ-Singh Khalsa.
We also had Bob Rauner from Chisholm Trail District, give us a fantastic overview of their successful recruiting techniques (There will be a separate post with links to all of the amazing materials he presented):
Thanks to those that came out to our January Roundtable meeting. We had a great presentation on unit retention, and talked about participation in the upcoming “Report To State” Parade.
