Have you ever been on a campout, outing or at a meeting and suddenly needed a good song, story, prayer or even a Scout principle? Would you be interested in a small booklet that you can easily stuff in your back pocket, backpack or purse?
At the 2012 Thunderbird Adventure Weekend such a book appeared. It is 64 pages (double-sided), bound with plastic cover and has a place for your contact information. The booklet has a convenient table of contents to enable quick lookup.
Sections in the booklet include:
- Patriotic Songs -- use for flag ceremonies
- Religious Songs -- use for Scout's Own
- Western Songs & Ballads
- Scouting Songs -- good for hiking
- Woodbadge Songs
- Fun Songs
- Stories (short) -- for campfire fun
- Scouting Ideals - Cub, Boy, Venturing Oaths, Safe Swim
- Prayers
It can be downloaded free (licensed under Creative Commons Attribution) from the web (click here) or purchased at cost (no profit) from David Black 512-850-4322 for only $6.00 (cheaper than if you do it yourself in small quantities). Only while supplies last. I can take credit cards on request. |
