Welcome to the all new t-birddistrict.org, home of the Thunderbird District on the Web! As you probably noticed, the appearance of the site has changed dramatically. All the content of the old site is present on the new one, but now we have moved the site over to a content management system. This software will allow lots of people to post links, articles, etc., which means that the site will get updated much more often than it used to.

The Capitol Area Council's Annual Volunteer Recognition Reception takes place Friday, February 26, 2010. Come and support Thunderbird District's David Black, Venture Crew 448 Advisor, as a recipient of the 2010 Venturing Leadership award.

Congratulations to our 2010 Silver Beaver Award recipients: Bill Dugat, Jay Evans, Jack Gindler, Raymond Gray, John Howard, Craig Hughes, Laurie Logue, Mike McMinn, Jason Riley and Ben Turner. Congratulations to our 2010 Venturing Leadership Award recipients: David Applewhite, David Black, John Burnett, Joseph Geisinger, Charlotte Ruhl and Paul Smith.

Help us recognize all of these terrific Scouts and Scouters - and other award receipients - by attending the Volunteer Recognition Reception, Feb. 26, 7pm, Great Hills Baptist Church. Refreshments will be served afterwards. CLICK HERE for more information and directions.
