Cub Adventure Day takes place Saturday, March 27 with the new
theme "Air Cub World".
The program will allow Cubs to enjoy
Cub World's terrific facilities, while also working on the soccer belt loop!

VENTURING AGE REQUIREMENTS CHANGE MAY 1

 

The Boy Scouts of America's National Executive Board recently approved a resolution to change the eligibility requirements for Venturing to ensure consistency among Venturing, high-adventure bases, and other core programs.

Take Home the Pinewood Derby Title

The 2010 councilwide Pinewood Derby will take place on Saturday, May 1 at two locations: GattiLand at I-35/Sam Bass Rd. in Round Rock and GattiTown at Southpark Meadows.
Didn't win your unit or district Pinewood Derby? Doesn't matter. Any Cub Scout or Webelos Scout can enter with the car they built this year.

Historical Merit Badges

BSA Announced today, 1/12/2010, via the Scouting Magazine Blog at http://blog. scoutingmagazine .org that in honor of the BSA’s 100th Anniversary, today’s generation of Scouts will get the unique opportunity to experience some of the activities their predecessors enjoyed. That’s possible thanks to the BSA’s new Historical Merit Badge Program, a set of four discontinued merit badges that today’s Scouts can earn.

Welcome to the all new t-birddistrict.org, home of the Thunderbird District on the Web! As you probably noticed, the appearance of the site has changed dramatically. All the content of the old site is present on the new one, but now we have moved the site over to a content management system. This software will allow lots of people to post links, articles, etc., which means that the site will get updated much more often than it used to.
