21st Century Scout Booklet of Ideals, Songs & Stories
Written by David Black
Thursday, 03 May 2012 16:55

Have you ever been on a campout, outing or at a meeting and suddenly needed a good song, story, prayer or even a Scout principle? Would you be interested in a small booklet that you can easily stuff in your back pocket, backpack or purse?

At the 2012 Thunderbird Adventure Weekend such a book appeared. It is 64 pages (double-sided), bound with plastic cover and has a place for your contact information. The booklet has a convenient table of contents to enable quick lookup.

Sections in the booklet include:

  1. Patriotic Songs -- use for flag ceremonies
  2. Religious Songs -- use for Scout's Own
  3. Western Songs & Ballads
  4. Scouting Songs -- good for hiking
  5. Woodbadge Songs
  6. Fun Songs
  7. Stories (short) -- for campfire fun
  8. Scouting Ideals - Cub, Boy, Venturing Oaths, Safe Swim
  9. Prayers

It can be downloaded free (licensed under Creative Commons Attribution) from the web (click here) or purchased at cost (no profit) from David Black 512-850-4322 for only $6.00 (cheaper than if you do it yourself in small quantities). Only while supplies last. I can take credit cards on request.
